Celebration of Font: Helvetica Neue

No font family may be as iconic as Helvetica in the modern landscape, and Helvetica Neue is certainly no exception in this family. Developed in 1983, Helvetica Neue has been used across many projects, most notable the Apple iOS system.

With this project, the designer aimed to create a unified visual experience charting the history, usage, and various looks of Helvetica Neue. A checkerboard pattern sets a strong background, while the text's angles help guide the viewers eyes from the top down. Red and Yellow mix together to form various emotions. Red brings out feelings of stimulation, and draws attention. Yellow contrasts with Red to create a friendly, happy feel. The two colors combined create a speedy poster that's bound to catch attention and keep itself in the minds of everyone who sees it, from today onwards.
