“Freakonomics” by Steven D. Levitt and Stephen J.Dubner is a book about the hidden side of everything from an economistperspective. Human beings respond to incentives and this book views the worldwith numbers and finds out what the relationship is between seemingly unrelatedtopics. The original design of the book didn’t appropriately fit the topic. Theyexplain everything clearly, down to the table of contents and the design shouldreflect that voice. This voice led to the analytical design where simple icons,a very minimal palette, and information graphs are used.
