A homage to gradients and my favourite time of the year, created back in summer 2017.
Although when it comes to gradients I am more into abstraction (as you might know from my Gradient Studies series), with this illustration I went a bit more figurative and tried to capture the magic feeling of a midsummer night using colours, gradients and glows.
My process features a range of gradient techniques which I share in my Skillshare class Mastering Gradients in Illustrator, with the main technique being the use of gradient brushes.
