Nubian Archer, New Kingdom Egypt. This project is special because a little girl called Naomi is pretty much its art director.
This si the line art. I gave this to Naomi, my friend's daughter, to color as a gift when i visited their home for the first time.
This is how Naomi colored it, so I stayed faithful to her color choices, which were great.
And that's how it turned out to look after some coloring and inking and shading.
That blue paste under the eye was said to be used by Nubian archers to decrease sun reflection at the eyes of the shooter.
