Abe Winterscheidt is a university student at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA.
As an author and photographer, he focuses on memoirs and The Nightstalker Saga in his writing, and specializes in astrophotography and nature photography when behind a camera.
Although The Nightstalker Saga: Origins is his first step into high fantasy, Abe manages to create a well composed and compelling story in a world where Earth has been corrupted by an evil plague, the gods have been damned, and the universe has been under the yoke of an immortal tyrant for centuries.
Forced to leave everything behind, Mark, a descendant of the tyrant, must rise through the ranks, conquer the world, and learn how to kill an immortal, all while remaining undercover. If he is discovered, he will be executed, but if he succeeds he will be brought toe-to-toe with the embodiment of true evil. Only then will Mark know if he has saved the universe or destroyed it.
The Nightstalker Saga: Origins needed an illustration of a colorful scalenohedron crystal emanating a bunch of small glowing, elements in the same colors.
Typography and layout were vital for illustrating the theme of the book and the genre to which it belongs.
The illustration has been created by Marta Dec, a talented editorial designer and digital artist based in Gdansk, Poland.
