My new zine, Pretenders in Bambai, consists of pictures of a variety of locations in the city of Mumbai, reimagined in the context that a number of unidentified non-human entities are hiding amongst us in plain sight. These are the first five images from that series. This series was a means for me to reconnect with, explore and learn about the city I grew up in. This project gave me the opportunity to experiment with photography. It involved detailed itineraries, aimless wandering, lots of street food and left me with a sense of newfound love and awe for the city.
