Expressive Portrait - Illustration 2016

This project consisted of analogue and digital media. I began with a simple sketch of a lady screaming. Scanned the sketch into Photoshop, and built colors and values from there. I incorporated textures with the brush tool for the hair, eyebrows, and eyelashes. The biggest challenge was the skin tones, from my darkest darks to my lightest lights. This project was overall enjoyable, and taught me a lot about value, contrast, and building up with layers.
