Gentleman Farmer

Game meats meet stylistic flourishes, and classic French fare becomes nouveau in Chef Karim's kitchen. His decades of culinary experience show in subtle and flavorful ways in his 20-seat dining room in SoHo. The candle-lit dinners are intimate and convivial, and the decor's sparse and natural while maintaining an easy charm. Small farms provide the food we serve, with a focus on hormone and antibiotic-free ostrich, venison, and bison, and hand-selected wines and craft beers are expertly paired with the dishes. Of course, everything rotates seasonally, but the experience is consistently pleasant and true to the spirit of the Gentleman Farmer.

Foie gras and seared scallop atop a chickpea purée: purely delicious, if not purely French.

It's more than attention to detail -- we have an affinity for it.
