Workbench Magazine - Issue 306
My inspiration for this shot was a stack of shiny silver cans I found at a paint store
right down the street  on Grand Ave.
I wanted a high/wide camera angle while keeping focus over a large plane,
I ended up combining multable focused captures to create the final shot.
I used some polished quart containers from the Woodsmith Store. I experimented with a variety of color swatches till I got the right color balance, shadows, and fun reflections.
I tweaked the dickens out of this one, the photographer hung in there till the end,
and we got a stunning entry in to the Color Theory story.
I built all the color wheel illustrations in PhotoShop then added callouts in CorelDraw.
The purpose for this spread, was to show readers, how to build a more cohesive room that where reflected in more advanced color wheels.
My original concept was to have the color wheels on white, but they just seemed flat.
After trying the black with reversed type they bounced off the page.
