Mis lunares favoritos
Tatín Muriel is a South Spanish singer who creates a unique music, the result of a combination of Spanish Flamenco, Soul, Pop and Jazz. He commissioned me to design the CD cover for his first album called ‘Mis lunares favoritos’ —My favourite freckles.
As the artist said, his main inspiration was the woman: ’Any time I was going through bad moments, a woman was always there to support me, sometimes my girlfriend and sometimes my mother. Therefore, this is an album dedicated to all women in the world.’
The singer was quite interested in the depiction of women breasts as an attempt to capture the essence and identity of the women. Moreover, the first physical contact of a human with a woman is with their mother’s breast. The depiction of a bra fits really well with the concept of the singer. It is not as obvious as a breast but provocative. Much better to insinuate and let the imaginations of the viewer fly rather than showing.
