ce n'est pas de la nourriture
"Depending on where you live in America and your budget, real food...good food means something different. There are large parts of this country where people are completely disconnected from where the food that satisfies them actually comes from, let alone recognizing a difference between natural and processed; knowledge that is only accessible to some based on economic status and education. Growing up on welfare, my idea of good food meant whatever we could afford vs sourcing and nutritional value. A lot of the processed food represented in this series are items I ate and loved as a child, but have grown away from as an adult. As my understanding of where food comes from grew, my ideas of what real food meant changed."
