Logo design
I designed a logo for a consortium of seven Connecticut art museums seeking state tourism funding. The design needed to represent the art museums, as each institution specialized in a different era and style of art, and appeal to a large demographic. My initial designs were inspired by an artist's palette and featured three taglines created by the museum directors.
As the project evolved, the directors proposed creating new designs around the existing Play! in CT tourism campaign. The goal was to promote museum attendance during the summer. The second round of logo designs featured summer imagery including, but not limited to, the sun, mountain laurel, and fireworks. The final logo design incorporated a vibrant color palette, a paintbrush, and a windmill to equally represent the arts and summer in Connecticut.
