Connor Vasey's profile

Tandura Centre for Arts and Culture

This fictional project was designed as the summative project for the Graphic Design 4 course at OCAD University from January to April 2017. All imagery in this book was designed by Connor Vasey.

The goal of this semester-long project at OCAD University was to create a corporate identity belonging to the following pre-conceptualized organization:

“The Tandura Centre for Arts and Culture exhibits work by many of the most significant visual artists of today, focusing on large scale and complex installations that would be impossible to realize in most conventional museums. Also featured are the more than 75 performances staged year-round, including popular music, contemporary dance, alternative cabaret, world music, outdoor lm, documentaries and avant-garde theatre.”

I examined similar museums and organizations like the Sydney Opera House for inspiration and how they adapted identities sown for a modern world. I wanted to create an organization that’s contemporary, represents the uniting of cultures, and still has roots within classic aesthetics.
