German Design Award 2017
The German Design Award is the premium prize of German Design Council. It is awarded annually during Ambiente, the consumer goods trade fair. Besides the winners of the areas such as product and communication design, a personality from design sector was awarded as well as young newcomer designers. The award-winners were presented in two exhibitions designed and implemented from brandmission on behalf of the German Design Council. The objects of the award-winners in the field of product design were presented as usual in the Galleria of Messe Frankfurt, thereby the design concept from the previous year was maintained due to the high positive response. For the presentation of the award-winner in the field of communication design, however, the Museum Applied Art developed a completely new design, which made the has displayed the projects in a spectacular interactive projection. Additionally, to the digital presentation, a number of works were also shown in the original. This year also, pleasingly many award winners used the generous presentation form in both exhibitions to photograph themselves together with their project.
