Fragmentation
For this school-project we had to deal with fragmented images: using this technique we were required to create an interesting picture, starting from photography material which both could be ours or found on the internet.
Since I meant this composition to be meaningful, I decided to work on the feeling J.T. LeRoy's book has given to me, The Heart Is Deceitful Above All Things. It is a book that deals with drugs, sex, violence, family issues, religion: the main character is a boy, Jeremiah, who, at the age of 5, is being taken away from his foster parents to live with his biological mother, Sarah; she's a drug addict, a prositute, and she cannot take care of Jeremiah, she's not capable of. It's a strong book built on strong images.

So I came up with that idea of mixing together a woman face, lot of make-up, a brain and a road, elements which I thought can synthesize the best this book.
