Golddiggers' Cookbook Campaign - Neil Roake.

Design Element: While many cookbooks follow a standard Chief Portrait front cover format, there’s no shortage of titles today that focus on one particular layout, Neil Roake wanted to celebrate the cuisine of Johannesburg, the ethnicity, reflect the generational favorites of Jozi. Represented in the logo: a Gold-mine-digger with a spoon head, represents the city (eGoli), the gold mines and the spoon head represents the Food and heritage there.
Inside Layout & Design: And as cookbooks turns more and more professional, it becomes tempting to head toward that style, decoration, and that current trend. Which is why I used pattern and a flap for the first page. I believe the design that I was aiming for has a unique structures with innovative abstract geometry cuts and a repetitive pattern and carries on with that rich coal black and gold.
Food PhotographySadly the "photography" in this book/book layout ARE NOT MINE! they belong to the following sites:
1.) Katie at http://whatkatieate.blogspot  2.) Zack Burris of Chicago at: http://zackburris.com
They only act as 'Inspiration and Photographic style' that I was aiming for in this campaign, credit still has to go to their Owners/Photographers at the mentioned sites.
