in the work „smash, honk, oof i drugi“ i interpret the prints and paintings
of ed ruschae. his meaningless text on an even more meaningless background
i isolate from the medium of a painting and then apply it on neutral
wax spheres. by accumulating these spheres and removing them from
the painting, the text is additionally removed from the context, miking it
more apsurd, and for me, gaining an additional humorous note. I place the
spheres on a low pedestal, grouping and removing them from the floor. ruscha’s
work are interesting for me because the way he cuts and juxtaposes
fragments of everyday language, comics, pop culture and life. that clustre
of unrelated words, that nevertheless forms and creates a whole i want to
emphasize by creating spheres, which orbit around one another like planets,
creating a wholy apsurd language composition.
