Tribute to Malevich. His works 'black square' and 'white on white' were made around hundred years ago, so it's a good occasion to go back to what it ment then (especially as 2017 was named year of Avant-garde in Poland) and to reconsider these meanings. Suprematism as an art of shapes and colours distanced from figurative themes and common meanings was criticized for it's negating things considered by many as good and needed in art. In response to that Malevich once said that art does not need us and it never did. I don't want to start discussion about nature of art and it's relation with us, I feel too short for it. What I would like to propose with my work is to consider Malevich's works as part of a process which art appears to be. I chose both squres white and black in process of covering/ discovering- I'm not naming which one is it and will not tell if black is closing the white or opening over it. The idea is that works of Mr Kazimir were independent parts of process for them own and for art in general.
