'Out of the Park'

Selected as one of 25 creatives in Nelson Mandela Bay, I was to create a unique piece of art on a refurbished skateboard canvas for the COYSA Creative Street Festival 2016 that highlights the uniqueness of Port Elizabeth or South Africa.
So I went exploring St George’s Park one late afternoon and collected photos, interesting and some mundane objects from around the grounds as inspiration. From peacocks to chicken bones, 5 cent coins to flowers, I wanted to capture the nature and quirks of my neighbourhood centered around the oldest park in Port Elizabeth, St George’s.
