For this second project, our Graphic Design class was asked to create a crest reflecting our family's background and interests in a way that matters to us. The first step in making this began with researching the different parts of my ideas I could use.

After looking at different crests and ideas, I began talk with my family and get some better ideas of what I could create. Next I began sketches; I found ways to align things, what size crest, what type of crest, and banner ideas.

After this I moved on to refine my ideas into two roughs, to get a better idea of which style fit better with what I was trying to portray. 

Next I was ready to move onto the computer and began actually drawing out my comps using the shape and pen tools to trace the coat of arms I wanted to use. I made multiple differing iterations of flags, banners, and crests themselves. 

As I began finishing my project, I found the styles I liked, and the ones I didn't. After a long while and a lot of thinking I was able to come up with a final finished product.
