Random Access is a weekly podcast hosted by three independent film makers. The concept of Random Access is that you never know what you are going to get from us. We talk about everything from movies, TV, Comic Books, Books, Animation, Music and Science. We host live guests from time to time and even do live remote recordings at sponsored locations.
We embrace the DIY lifestyle of today and are proud of our independent spirit and projects we work on. While it would be nice to work with the money that the mainstream media and entertainment machine could offer, we do not want to be stifled by the restraints imposed by them. With this podcast we are free to analyze these different genres in the form and fashion that we see fit with no restraint from the mainstream media.
It is that independent spirit and free form discussion that our listeners enjoy. Nationally, to date, we have garnished listeners all across North America from Alaska and Canada and from California to Florida. Internationally we have listeners in 16 different countries. Our overall demographic is targeted towards the 18-45 range, with our primary demographic being males 18-25 followed by females 18-25.
The diversity of our program appeals to people from every class and walk of life and provides a diverse base of potential clientele for any advertiser.
The Story of Random Access
Three Film Makers were on a week long road trip through Indiana following the subjects of their feature length documentary. One of the towns they came through was going to be a two day stay and they wanted to scout out a bar that the subjects could go to after their performance to hang out and the Film Makers could get some footage of them in the real world hanging out together. They discovered a small pub that was one of the local college hangouts and found the management perticularly happy to have them come in and film. Finding what they needed the three decided to hangout and have a few drinks. It wasn't long before they started doing what they always do and talk about and analyze

The Set
Our studio, for now, is the living room of Anton's house. However, one of the key differences in our show compared to most other podcast is that we had absolutely no idea how to do a traditional podcast. So as Film Makers, we set out to do it the way a Film Maker would. We deadend the soundspace and brought in a real Sound Engineer for the show recording and a Sound Design Engineer for the show edit. Thus the quality of our show is about 100 times better than what most podcasters are producing. In fact, the quality of our audio rivals most TV and Film productions.
