Romeo and Juliet (2017) - Scenic Art

ROMEO AND JULIET (2017) / Theater Emory
Scenic Designer: Leslie Taylor / Director: John Ammerman / Lighting Designer: Brent Glenn

Scenic artist for Theater Emory's production of Romeo and Juliet. The production was traditional, and a variety of treatments were used on the set including faux marbling on homasote panels, faux mahogany treatment on the doors, faux stone on the archways and balcony, and others. The brick texture was achieved using a textured mixture (joint compound, glue, jaxsan) and the same mixture was used over glued cheesecloth to achieve the broken plaster effect.
