Mixed Media Encaustic Collages
This series of encaustic work deals with questions of mapping identity. The events of the past are too many to count so the mind must eliminate and arrange them, and perhaps fabricate them to fill in holes. In this uncertainty of what really happened the collage pieces are moved and shuffled, until a sense of harmony is achieved from the chaotic scramble of moments. Issues of overlapping, transparency, and fragmentation must eventually rest beside each other.
