C-Flat began with Meeting the owner of Out of the Valley. We talked about what this project should focus on and what it needed to achieve at this stage.
Here are some Inital concepts, focusing on how the cabin could be flat-packed, the joinery between the interiour, insulation material and the exteriour cladding. Also looking into photovoltaics & how I could incorpirate that into the design.
First set of prototypes - Looking at housing for 4 people at 1:20 scale.
This model was used to look at alternative cladding attachment methods.
Final Model: 1:10 scale, glued model to give clean asthetic, clear acrylic used to represent glass which would be located on the front and ceiling.
Final Visual: This is what I used to display what the cabin would look like in its enviroment. Exhibited at the Poly in Falmouth, Cornwall.
