The purpose of this project was to learn about the style of the 60's and using new techniques to achieve this style, look and feel. It also allows us to explore more typography styles and visual organization.
In this process, I only used Adobe Illustrator. I used the type tool and the image trace tool the most. I used the type tool to create the text and then use a mesh tool to drag the font out the way I want it. The image trace tool was used to create the portraits by selecting a three color image to make it look like pop art or you can also make silhouettes.
For the color scheme I tried to make them look more like vintage posters with faded colors but I think for the most part it would probably be more towards monochromatic than anything else. I just chose colors that I thought would compliment each other well.
I used the fonts "Hippie Movement" and "Keep On Trucking" from DaFont.com.
