Rethink. Portsmouth Homelessness Campaign

These were my logo and shop sign I created for my: Rethink. Portsmouth Homelessness Campaign. This was part of my ethical design project during my 2nd year at university and I wanted to do it on a local issue that I cared about. I interviewed people who were homeless, a councillor and talked to my friends to see how the situation was in Portsmouth, which is pretty bad, and wanted to try and create a campaign not only to make people aware of the issue but also how they could help.
I decided to try and put my poster into a real life setting such as on a billboard to show the design in context.
These are my posters I created - telling the stories and giving people who are homeless a voice. These paraphrased from interviews I did with people who were homeless on the streets and used these with a large size typeface - DIN Condensed Bold, to capture people's attention and let them read the important message behind it.
These are my food vouchers, they could be exchanged in any participating restaurants, stores or shops. On the back it also included information about homeless services available such as soup kitchens and where they could be exchanged.
These are my clothing vouchers -
These are my shelter vouchers - they can be exchanged for accommodation for a night. The back shows information about the shelter places for homeless people, with most services needed referrals to get a place.
I chose to do a bold typographical design with different colour for each type of vouchers - keeping the same style as my posters. I used 3 colour for the vouchers - Green for food, blue for clothing (same blue as logo and website) and red for shelter (like houses and bricks).
My website design - created a website for people to buy the vouchers, find out where they can be exchanged and find out about the services available to people who are homeless.
