I was contacted by Rare Species Conservation Centre who were in desperate need of a website updated. Their website was a little dated and wasn’t mobile-friendly. Not only did the client want a new look to their new site but they also asked for added functionality that would allow their visitors buy tickets in advance and book experiences with animals, as well as have the potential to sell physical products. The new RSCC site also needed to show off their rare species collection, and so, each species needed it’s own individual page. The clients one stipulation was to use the company branding that was prevalent throughout the zoo already.
The new Rare Species Conservation Centre website was built on Wordpress using a custom framework. To allow booking of tickets and experience days, I coupled WordPress with WooCommerce and a booking system plugin.
