Interior Design project for EJBW in Weimar/ Germany

2015/16, Bauhaus University Weimar, Cooperation Project "Bildungshungrig" between the university and the organisation "EJBW" based in Weimar, Germany.

The European Youth Education Centre (EJBW) is an institution and meeting centre for non-formal civic youth education. As a group of design students, we were asked to re-design the space, so that it works better for young people, who visit Weimar to participate in various workshops. We were divided into two groups (each 8-10 people) and were supposed to develop design concepts and present them to our clients during final presentation.

My group focused on making the building seem warmer and cosier, so that the teenagers feel like they are a significant part of it, during this short visit. We also made sure, we didn't give up on all already used objects, trying to make them a part of our new concept, by changing it slightly.

We ended up re-designing the foyer with welcome point, coffee lounge with mobile furniture, working space, and the canteen.
