The concept of my manifesto is to tell a story through my illustrations. I decided to use zombies to portray designers whom are willing to join this design movement. Why zombies? Zombies are living dead, and in the manifesto it mentioned that other people do not appreciate or don’t see the importance of design. Thus to them design is dead. Furthermore, zombies travel in a group so it is ideal to portray them as a group of designers that supports this manifesto.
I managed to layout all the words and paragraphs throughout the manifesto by using a 2 column grid to do it. The colour choice used was black and a dirty green colour, I felt that using these colours were portray a scarier look to my manifesto as my concept was using zombie illustrations. Lastly, dotted lines are created as the paths for the zombies which are the constant throughout the whole manifesto, it appears almost on every page.
