Typographic Calendar
an experiment using tracing paper
This typographic calendar an experiment using tracing paper as a material. Because of the transparency of the tracing paper, we can see through the papers and thus we will see the overlapping figures on the tracing paper. With this property, we don’t have to draw out the whole structure of the figure; instead we could draw only some parts of the figure on the first tracing paper and then draw the compensate parts on the second one. With all the papers putting together, we will not aware that the figures on the paper are actually fragmented, and we will suddenly realize that all the consequent figures are related and inseparable.

In fact the meaning behind this calendar is that every single day is unique and closely related. Past, present and the future are just like a flow of river. We can’t overlook the past, and likewise we can’t live without thinking of the future. But still, present is the most important thing in our lives, and we should focus on each moment and enjoy our lives.
