Handmade Graphic Compositions

Human beings are evolving in a system of signs. Out of images or objects, designers are constantly generating visual stimulus on the observers' consciousness. This project is about exploring technical, morphological and stylistic features to create a language or at least configure graphic dialects. A diverse variety of tools were used and intervened, such as wire wrapped wood sticks, coffee capsules, toothbrushes and twigs, each one creating a different texture and visual rhythm.

A kind of linear obsession leads me through different directions. Sometimes I find myself trapped in a fixed ortogonal path, other times I am driven by the sea's fluidity and I let myself go while the water softly covers my face. The sea opens and it starts to drizzle. I close my eyes and concentrate on the sound of the drops as they fall into the sea. One by one, they synchronize and generate a unique sound that vanishes as they sink. I open my eyes and a steady east wind comes by bringing a heavy rain. Nothing is left of that subtle drip. Water flows deeply into the ocean. I can perceive rare sensations in my body, a kind of aggression felt by the punctures of water as it falls on my body. I can find my way into a new direction.
