Bacterial Textiles:
Life Forms as Art
This project aimed to look to the future of textiles, with the concept based on sustainable textiles. After some research into environmentally friendly textile production methods, I decided to base the project around the innovative ability to grow textiles from bacteria. Using yeast, part of the recipe to grow textiles, I created a series of drawings and painting which later became printed textile pieces.
