THE PROJECT: Absinthe Films
Absinthe Films is different. They are dedicated to the craft of filming, telling stories, and capturing jaw dropping visuals of snowboarders in places around the globe most of us can only dream of visiting. Owner, Justin Hostynek, knew he needed a design overhaul to reflect his unique vision of snowboarding and coincide with the release of his newest snowboarding film, Afterforever.
The Mobile App: iOS and Android
With a premier date of Absinthe's new film Afterforever set, we worked feverishly to re-skin the existing mobile app. Working alongside app developers Black Sun Productions, we redesigned the mobile app to be intuitive and loaded with unique content and stunning visuals. Included in the app are options to purchase and stream 16 snowboard films from Absinthe's own library, unique behind-the-scenes videos, view athlete bios, plus the ability to do push alerts so users will automatically know when new content is added or where the Absinthe World Film Tour would be next.
The Website: absinthe-films.com
Also coinciding with the premier of Afterforever, we completely redesigned the website which reflected the new brand ethos. The website's main objectives were to announce the Absinthe World Film Tour, view a video trailer of Afterforever, and sell downloads from Absinthe's library of past films. Since Absinthe was already selling online using Shopify's ecomm platform with a cumbersome click-through from an existing site. Our suggestion was to omit the existing site and save them some monthly hosting fees, then build a completely custom site on Shopify's platform. The result–Absinthe has a cohesive brand look and feel across all digital platforms, an easy-to-use ecomm to fulfill and deliver downloads, and one happy snowboard film company.
