"Just Fishbone"
Two pieces that result from the theme and the name BaKalhau, exhibition at the Museum of Bacalhau, Ilhavo, Portugal, 2013. It represents a digitally worked fishbone, cut in acrylic with an approximate form of K, present in the name of the exhibition. Conceptually it reflects the economic crisis that crossed the country, being in our days practically prohibitive to eat what was once the food of every day.
Visually the main purpose of the piece was to have a very clean, elegant and versatile look so it could work and be interesting also out exhibition content. Therefor, i`ve work with latex thread also, which added individuality and three-dimensionality to the piece. Two soul mate panels, since they were made of the same material and both represent the same concept, but, like everything else that twins, with its own identity.
