This is a project for the International Society of Typographic Designers and received a student pass in 2016. The aim of the project was to show great typographical application through one out of five chosen themes. The theme in which I decided to work on was the theme of the Nobel Prize. I tackled the this by creating an editorial to show how the Nobel Prize has an antiquated and bias judging system. This was done through storytelling of the lives and achievements of five Nobel Prize winners (one in each discipline of original five Nobel Prize disciplines) but were not worthy of it and comparing them to the lives and achievements of nominees who should have received an award but did not.
To aid in creating a design that was multi-functional. The editorial contains a card game which allows users to learn and create their own judgments on whether certain laureates were deserving of the award or not. The cards are inside the back of the book and perforated so that the user can easily tear them out after reading a bit on each candidate. On one side of the card there statistics based off of their life achievements  that aid to the benefit of mankind, as well as a quote from them to show insight into their characteristic typographically, what they are best known for, and what discipline they were best known in. On the other side of the card is the reason as to why they received or didn't receive the award. This is to provide further insight into why certain laureates were really chosen or not chosen for their efforts.
