After sketching out the basic form, the material was modeled to match the visual.. Working at a smaller scale in a lighter material allowed me to create about 30 different iterations to get the best output.

However while translating from paper to aluminum and with the increase in scale, creasing the material became an issue and it was a challenge to get the same finish without tearing it. Aluminum tends to get cut along very sharp creases.
