Logo Design Project

Logo Design
Thumbnails
This logo design project involved creating one hundred concept thumbnails for the fictitious business Pineapple Delivery Company. The company's description given for this project is as follows:
"Pineapple delivery company delivers fresh pineapples and other related pineapple products to your door. The company is described as fun, fresh and modern. They are trying to appeal to a 25-40 demographic who prefer healthy edible gifts.... Their website url is pineapple.com."

The end logo design was to be used on the website project, which is listed on my profile. Directly below is the first batch of 25 thumbnails that were supposed to be general logo designs.

This second batch of 25 concept thumbnails are logos that focus on text and typography instead of large images.
This third batch of 25 logo designs focused on mascot designs. The skateboard, sunglasses, and headphones were recurring tropes to appeal to a younger, more "modern" demographic, and the designs with measuring tape and slender bodies were to appeal to more health-conscious consumers. Finally, the last few designs were to appeal to all demographics with a small, fun, and cute character.
This final group of thumbnails were mainly emblem or emblem-like designs, which may have featured both text and pictures.
Refined Logos
One of the two logos that were chosen to potentially be used for the Pineapple Delivery Company's official design. The design's outer shape is a pineapple, and the inside harbors the company's initials, "PDC",  along with an arrow with a knob that is pointing upwards to signify delivery. The arrow also has the appearance of being a house on a hill, meaning that there is no matter in the patron's location; PDC will deliver pineapple products to any house, anywhere. This logo was made in Adobe Illustrator, and a black and white copy and colored copy with swatches are both available. A maximum of four colors could be used.
The second design that was chosen as a potential candidate to be the company's official logo design. This design was meant to feel more modern and Internet-savvy, and I decided that it was best to keep the image black and white instead of giving it colors. The image is relatively self-explanatory, with a gift box housing a pineapple and an arrow pointing to the right from within the pineapple to represent being a pineapple delivery service. The company's website is below the image so viewers can know where to look to find services.

Official Logo
The first candidate was the one to be made into the official design for the company, and a few modifications were made to the original design including removing the outer lines, moving the words "PDC" to the bottom side of the logo and changing it to pineapple.com, and removing the coloring of the arrow / house. In addition, the pineapple's leaves are hovering slightly above its body. Because violet was a better design choice to keep than the pinkish color, I replaced the pink on the doorknob with violet and reduced the amount of colors used in total. This design was used on the Pineapple Delivery Company's "website".
