How to create an eco-system in our kitchen ?
This project is inspired by the ancestral approach of conserving vegetables and use for it a natural system, independent of any human involvement. I choose to focus on the kitchen, which is a living space who combine several needs.
The left storage maintains vegetables hydrated by humid sand. On the other hand, the glass gives natural light and allows us to check on our consommation. Everyday (it all depends on the saison) we need to spray with water our vegetables and this way, we create a new kind of relation with it.
The second unit is a cutting board with a wormcompost to recycle our green waste and to make a natural fertilizer for new plants.
The goal of setting up this aquaponic station in the living space is to rediscover a natural time, and use it to grow a part of our food. Everyday, this furniture will live and changes will appear.
A living witness of the time, making us learn new gestures and rites. By taking care and by observing this ecosystem we take care of us even by extension.
