For the 2016 Winter Issue of Edible Indy, the publisher asked me to create a 'Spoil the Hostess' spread that highlighted gifts from local vendors. In addition to layout and type setting, there was a lot of photo retouching involved to get the look they were hoping for. 

The photos above are an overview of the photos provided, and the image below summarizes the collection of photos post-retouching. Once the colors were corrected and the background carefully removed from each photo, I was able to begin the layout of the spread. 

Below is the main graphic for the 'Spoil the Hostess' spread. I was given several images from similar articles to reference for style, but they really were hoping for something classy and clean but not overly holiday-esque. The spread ended up being closer to three pages in order not to crowd the text, but as you can see in the last photo below, there was quite a bit to say about each special gift.
