During the summer semester of 2012 I was studying in Graphics Department of Angewandte of Applied Arts Vienna. This is one of the projects I completed there. "Birds of a Feather" is series of non-fiction illustrations for young audience. I concentrated on the patterns that appear on the feathers of the birds, making each animal somewhat abstract.
The illustrations were created by drypoint technique, though not on the traditional material of copper, but on plexiglass. On each print that was made, all of the pictures are shown and each time a different one was printed with red colour to put that bird in focus.
