Wash Laundromat Identity

Wash Laundromat

The idea of this stationery project was to find a local 'every-day' business and re-design its identity. I tried to steer clear of the cliché monogram ideal logo and try for something more organic. After gathering and collecting imagery inspiration from within the actual business, I chose a photo from the inside of a dryer to be the visual identity for this laundromat. The logo-type was designed to look similar to some old logos on the machines in the laundromat. Further below are some examples of the accompanying identity standards booklet. The identity standards booklet has a developing grid which is really a gradual application of the the logo/identity to the identity standards booklet. The photography was done in an old laundromat by me.
