Respect Her
Pittsburgh Action Against Rape (PAAR)
Carnegie Mellon Universtiy - Pittsburgh, PA
The aim of the project is to inspireromanticism in a modern context, like a sweet date. Lack of respect is a key issuewhen it comes to rape and the causes.

I decided to focus on encouragingrespect between people who are interested in being more than friends, whetheror not the feelings are mutual. Inspiration for the concept came from theearly-mid 1900s. Focusing on how to be a gentleman (or gentle-lady) was themain part of my process. My ‘calling cards’ came from the idea of theacquaintance card used during the early-mid 1900s. The result of this project addressesrape in an indirect way. The calling cards would be available for people togive to the person that they’re interested in and would be used to ‘court’them.
