1.4 Visual Aesthetics
The Brief: You are asked to carefully read the First Things First manifesto (the 2000 version) and produce a creative response to it. You are required to use the whole text within your work, including the names of all those who signed it. If you wish, you can also (ie, in addition to) use the text and list of names from the original 1963 version. Please note, this project and the design outcomes that you produce, should be essentially typographic. You may use imagery, but we are looking for final work that is effective in its use of typography. Type, layout, composition, hierarchy, etc must be the dominant aspect of the work, with imagery (if required) playing a supporting role. You may wish to produce a poster or a set of posters. Alternatively, you may think some other printed artefact, such as a publication whatever is appropriate.
