In this assignment were to design a pattern for the Converse All Star sneaker using color and shape as the basis of the design. The pattern must be able to accommodate two different icons, one must be a young Pop icon and the other an older businessman/woman. The pattern was inspired by on of South Africa's ethnic group, the amaNdebele, who use geometric forms and bright colors to decorate their hut houses.

After creating the pattern, I then used the 'PowerClip" tool on CorelDraw to insert the pattern inside the sneaker vector as illustrated in the last image.

The final product. The colors used must be able to communicate which sneaker was designed for either the pop icon or the businessman.
