For ages, the Dutch design land (in cultural and technical perspective). This is why the Netherlands got their unique form. A form that became obvious to the Dutch.This is the main focus in the fictional exposition 'Nederland ontwerpt Nederland'.To introduce the exposition, I made teasers to share on the internet.
The Netherlands are growing. Growing in it's own shape, own way and own culture. The Dutch government and people design this growth: the Netherlands design the Netherlands.
By centuries, the Netherlands created theirselves by changing waterdepts, landscapes and surfaces. The people had to live with the water and the unhabitable surfaces. But they designed it to make it habitable.
By changing waterboundaries, creating canals, highways and railways, the shape of the Netherlands is formed in the way we know these days: the Netherlands design the Netherlands.
