Drawing in Illustrator via Kinect

This is a quick example that explores what drawing in Adobe Illustrator would be like if you could just move your hands around in the air without needing a user interface.
It's a mash up of Microsoft's Kinect, openFrameworks, the HYPE Framework and Adobe's CS SDK.

The application in the back is the server app which handles the computer vision and sends out the location of the blobs, etc. With Adobe Illustrator CS5 running in the foreground, my KinectAI plug-in receives the data from the server app manages how the visuals react to this info and tells Illustrator to copy its moves.

The Server Application
– Playing off of Theo Watson's openFrameworks (OF) Kinect magic. http://vimeo.com/16734124
– SimpleGuiToo by Memo (http://www.memo.tv/) based off of Todd Vanderlin's (http://vimeo.com/vanderlin) magic.
– Protocol code inspired and partially sampled from the Rockwell Group. http://lab.rockwellgroup.com

The Client Application
– Uses a mod I made of the HYPE framework. http://www.hypeframework.org/
– Adobe CS SDK. http://www.adobe.com/devnet/creativesuite/sdk.html
– Music: MIA: Born Free
