The Leaf Series
Relief Printmaking
The Leaf Series is a project in printmaking, specifically working with lino and wood blocks. The idea was born after a walk through my university campus. I am normally rushing to a lecture or hurrying home but on this occasion I took the time to really look at the world around me. I noticed how many different tree species were in such a small area and started collecting leaves and using them as inspiration.
