Vienna Seccession (1897-1937)
In Austra, Vienna Secession is started on 3 April 1897. The youngful force of the Künstlerhaus, Viennese Creative Artist’s Association, resigned in protest. Gustav Klimt led a group of artists split off from the Künstlerhaus. The Secessionist wanted to create their own artistic identity other than traditional Vienna art. They gave birth to another form of modernism and they named their own new movement: Vienna Secession.
