Morning Metaphysics

Morning Metaphysics
Morning Metaphysics is a 2D Platformer game where the player is a kid getting up and dressed in the morning, in a dream, who is trying to collect their clothes scattered through different levels. The game was developed in 3 weeks in a group of two, Edd and Carlos, using Unity 5.3. Edd contributed with level design, programming and the background music, and Carlos helped with programming and the sprite work.

The game has fog around the edges of the screen, with background music, found on the Unity Asset Store ("The Night Sky", by Dalv Production), to enhance the feeling of a dream. The platforms, wood planks, were originally for a house setting in real life, which was our original idea instead of being in a dream.
Above is the title screen. Originally, we planned to adjust the size of the user interface and add some artwork, however, we found ourselves running out of time because we focused too much on trying to polish things like player movement, and sprites instead. For a prototype however, we should have been focusing more on the goal, the playable content, and the game mechanic that we were testing, before any polishing.
