The SOS Pedagogical Briefcase’s goal is to offer solutions to teaching/learning processes and methods used in the several subjects taught within the field of Visual Arts.
This is achieved by offering students a broad view of the world of art and its creative processes, helping them to better familiarize themselves with it. The main objective of this tool is to provide students and teachers with resources, both theoretical and practical, which will allow them to solve problems that may arise before, throughout or after the conclusion of a project.
It stimulates autonomy, the thought process and the development of a theoretical and critical approach by the students regarding their own work. It can be used as an SOS strategic resource within any methodological subject. It is also its aim to identify and reconcile any flaws while providing assistance to both student and teacher. The idea is for the problem not to be identified only by the teacher, in fact the goal is to shift that role to the student, and in each given situation to help students autonomously search for appropriate solutions.
A Maleta Pedagógica SOS visa dar respostas a processos e metodologias de ensino/aprendizagem nas várias disciplinas das Artes Visuais, através de uma visão generalista que pretende socorrer alunos, familiarizando-se estes com o mundo da arte e seus processos criativos. Proporcionar ao docente e ao aluno, socorrer a um problema que surja antes, durante ou na finalização de um exercício, que se pretende tanto numa vertente teórica como prática, é o objetivo primordial deste recurso.
Incentiva a autonomia, o pensamento e o desenvolvimento de uma bagagem de teorização e de crítica no aluno perante o seu próprio trabalho. Assim, serve como recurso estratégico num caso de SOS numa disciplina de metodologias. Procura ainda conciliar algumas falhas, auxiliando aluno e professor, cada um nas suas vertentes, pretendendo-se que não seja apenas o professor a identificar o problema mas, fundamentalmente, dar esse papel ao aluno no seu caso específico, de ser ele mesmo a identificar e procurar autonomamente a resolução para uma determinada situação.
